Rebuilding/Lengthening of "Borkumrif"

The new 3-bladed propeller (ø2700 mm) and new steering nozzle are now finished mounted, and “Borkumrif” is back in the water. Outfitting works, to bring onboard winches and drums are in full progress. The new accommodation is also fairly advanced. The new parts for the fish handling system has arrived and will be brough onboard next week.

HM 128 ”Borkumrif” arrived at the yard on Tuesday 4 May 2010, to commence a major conversion- The conversion includes: Lengthening by 6,0 m, fitting of new, 3-bladed propeller with adjoining rudder nozzle, raising and moving of wheelhouse, partly renewal of accommodation area, shifting existing trawl winches in order to arrange a much large trawl handling deck, delivery and fitting of 2 new net drums, complete replacing of gallow arrangement etc.

The job is scheduled for completion 29 July 2010.

”Borkumrif” was delivered as KS-newbuilding 383 to Dan & Flemming Nielsen in April 2001.
