The vessel will be a top modern pelagic purser / trawler containing all the newest equipment and machinery. The vessel is a result of an extensive and close cooperation between owners and yard.
Fishing Company Beinur had its beginnings in Fishing Company Expo, which Virgar Tindskard entered into in 1975. Same owners operated the renowned Expo for many years. This ship was built as Vestminningur II in 1967, also with Virgar Tindskard a bord. Tindskard family took over ownership in 1998 and bought the first Beinur in 2001, and excisting Beinur in 2006. Excisting vessel was bought as Christina S, and will continue to fish the company’s quotas until new vessel will be ready.
Today the fishing company is run by Fridalv Tindskard, together with his brother Runi, his sister Elin and Gunnar Nolsø. Though Virgar Tindskard is still partner in the company. Fridalv Tindskard and gunnar nolsø will continue as skippers at the new vessel.
Karstensen Skibsværft is delighted with this new contract, which only emphasizes the yards position as the prime builder of larger pelagic fishing vessels. Like other pelagic newbuildings currently under construction at Karstensens Skibsværft new Beinur is also in-house designed. Karstensens Skibsværft has for the time being orders for no less than 6 pelagic vessels to be delivered throughout the next 2 years. Karstensens Skibsværft offers a complete concept, where all solutions are optimized and tailormade to customer specifications and requirements. Karstensens is independent of all suppliers, which makes such an optimization very flexible.
Owners and yard have a well-established and long-standing relationship.
Eg. The delivery of newbuilding Beinur will be marking a 20 year anniversary of a big conversion Karstensens did on the old Expo! Design of new Beinur is result of a very close cooperation between Owners and yard. New Beinur will be a top-modern purser/trawler, where an extensive focus has been set on optimizing working, safety and comfort for the crew. The ship will be outfitted with all the newest machinery and equipment, and suppliers have been chosen carefully to match specification and requirements.
New BEINUR is scheduled for delivery in July 2016. Price indication: DKK 215 m / EUR 29 m.
